Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"An amazing restaurant in an amazing place. Food and staff are very good and friendly. Loved it. Will come back"
"This was a truly delightful experience. Walking from the ferry feels like you are somewhere in the English countryside. The setting is a bit surreal and surprising how close you are to Venice. The incredible dishes were artfully presented but the real joy is in the taste. Our favorites were the baccala cannoli and the fresh fish of the day with beautiful scalloped potatoes. The wine list includes the local wine Orto di Venezia with Chablis like crisp minerality that complements the menu so incredibly well. On top of the incredible food was the lovely hospitality of the wait staff who were very accommodating and welcoming."
"A full five stars. What a restaurant! An ambiance to remember- specially if you are sitting outside with a view of the sprawling greens. Superbly amicable and friendly service. Our wait staff explained patiently the details of the menu. We got seafood fritters (calamari and shrimp) and baccalà mantecato (cream of cod in a black cannoli). For the main course we went for a whole fish of the day (sea bass) which was spectacular. Had some pasta on the side. Superb - highly recommended!"
"The beautiful gardens and surrounds drew you in to this delightful restaurant. The food was incredible and we were served by the owner who informed us it was family owned for generations, hence the personable and kind service. What a gorgeous place to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary."
"This place is amazing in every way possible. You have the chance to relax in the most beautiful enviroment on this island. The place is simply fantastic: starting with the food and service and finishing with the landscapes. Everything you need after a long day in the crowded streets this place will provide!"
"Lovely lunch! We had the house antipasto followed by a risotto, mixed fried fish (frittura mista) and venitian style liver (fegato alla Veneziana), all fresh and delicious. The terrace is beautiful and cool with a double aspect between the canal and the lagoon. Impeccable service. Recommended."
"The accidental diner … we visited Torcello to see the old church and have a look about, never thinking to be delighted by wonderfully crafted dishes served in an elegant dining room by friendly staff. The menu boasted exquisite choices and not a single dish surprised. What a miraculous find."
"If you find yourself on this island with some time, stop here for a moment of peace and the freshest pasta. Sit outside in the sun and enjoy. Would recommend: pasta with simple tomato and cheese."
